Alarm went off at 4:00 to get ready and jump on a plane. This is in Charlotte, waiting to board the second plane...... Huntington, WV --> Charlotte --> JFK Airport
^Inside JFK right when we got off of the plane
^New York was so much bigger than I expected it to be or ever dreamed it would be.
^We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn on West 54th St and this was right across the street. There was a gym called Crunch Fitness and a very cool restaurant called Iguana. We ate there first thing after dropping our bags off at the hotel.
^I got chicken enchiladas with beans, rice, and black bean soup. The black bean soup was my favorite of all time! It was spicy and creamy and just perfect after a long morning of traveling.

^Exploring Times Square was one of my favorite parts of the trip because everyone was so busy and there was so much going on everywhere you turn!
^This is Columbus Circle right at one of the openings of Central Park. It was probably about 4:00 when we got there and we walked half of the park. It was absolutely beautiful. I could not believe that in the midst of a huge city full of concrete and steel, lies such a breathtaking wooded area. Every turn was a beautiful spot to sit and read a book or blog ;)
^If you are a Gossip Girl fan, then you know this is where Chuck and Blair got married <3
^There is something I love so much about this last picture. You know there are busy people walking all around and here you see 3 young people playing music and a business man sitting on his phone like he probably does every day. The New York way of life amazes me and I think I would fit right in! :D
^We all showered and had some AMAZING Brooklyn Style Pizza!!! Although it wasn't until after we were done eating that we learned we were supposed to fold it over and eat it that way...lol...next time ;)
****I also would like to say for the record that this pic could be taken the wrong way (looks a lil too cozy) but E and I were in a room with his entire family and we did not and do not sleep together! Just had to set the record straight on that one :D

There is so much to do in New York, 4 days is not enough but with careful planning you can do so much. We didn't plan a ton ahead and I think after we got there we wished we would have a little more. And by plan ahead, I mean a daily schedule of things to do each day and when to do them! I definitely recommend buying some passes to things beforehand online because it is a lot cheaper to do it that way and once you get there it makes it easier to do activities. I would also recommend making reservations at some of the top spots in the city if you are into finding good food :).
There were a few places we found once there that we couldn't get in because they pretty much only took reservations. One place was called Normas. We didn't get to eat there but it looked amazing and next time we are there we decided to make a reservation :). You will be seeing more about the amazing places we ate in the next post!
If you have any questions or comments please feel free to ask away ! <3
